1. At a roundabout, a long vehicle such as a B-double may:
- Give way to all cars at all times
- Only turn left
- Never use the roundabout
- Legally take up more than one lane โ do not drive up beside it โ
Long vehicles often need to straddle lanes on roundabouts, so give them the space instead of squeezing alongside.
2. Unless you are driving a bus, you must not stop at a bus stop within:
- 100 metres either side
- The painted bay only
- 20 metres before the sign and 10 metres after it โ
- 5 metres either side
The 20 m before / 10 m after rule keeps bus stops clear for buses and passengers.
